QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a committed Christian.

  • Must understand and be dedicated to the educational objectives and philosophy of Lighthouse Christian School.
  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree and be State Certified. (ACSI certification and three years of full-time teaching experience is preferred.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and online environments; ability to quickly learn and utilize various software applications.
  • Must have adequate health and physical stamina to fulfill assigned responsibilities.

The following responsibilities are specific to individual grade levels and/or teaching disciplines:

Teacher - General:
  • Demonstrates competency and passion for teaching History/Social Studies to middle school students.
  • Participates in planning meetings as required.
  • Teaches core subjects according to Lighthouse's GLE's.
  • Provides leadership and advocacy to ensure a successful, growing program at Lighthouse Christian.
  • Must complete ACSI Christian Philosophy of Education requirements within three years.
