Piedmont is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer respiratory care procedures and protocols, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
- Conduct blood gas analysis and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
- Maintain and manage all equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and meets regulatory standards.
- Provide patient education and support to promote healthy behaviors and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences or related field.
- Experience: Previous working experience in respiratory care or successful completion of department-specific orientation, including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the state of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Certifications: Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS, with a commitment to maintaining all required competencies.
