Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support a school district in addressing the speech and language needs of students. This role involves collaborating with a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to provide essential services to children experiencing communication challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
The SLPA will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of speech and language therapy to students, ensuring that each child receives the necessary support to improve their communication skills. Specific duties include:
- Working full-time (37.5 hours per week) within the school environment.
- Engaging with a caseload that will be determined during the interview process.
- Supporting students from K-12 with mild to moderate speech and language needs.
- Providing services onsite throughout the academic year.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A valid Delaware SLPA License is mandatory.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required.
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations is preferred, though not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
