We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity in utilizing radionuclides for diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiographic equipment according to equipment specifications, adhering to infection control and safety practices.
- Perform quality Nuclear Medicine procedures, including scintigrams, and maintain patient records according to department, state, and federal procedures.
- Assess patients according to exam ordered, with appropriate documentation, and provide patient prep for procedures, including patient education.
- Consent patients for procedures and initiate INT access, place EKG leads for exams, and accurately record patient information in EMR.
- Meet productivity standards regarding wait times and turnaround times for patients.
- Current ARRT or NMTCB licensure or certification, with registry eligibility within 12 months from date of hire.
- Associates Degree or equivalent required, with a graduate degree from an accredited ARRT or NMTCB program.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Preferred licensure or certification: BLS certification.
- Preferred educational requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Preferred experience: 2+ years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
- Weight lifted: Up to 100 lbs, frequently 31-65% of time.
- Weight carried: Up to 50 lbs, frequently 31-65% of time.
- Vision: Heavy, constantly 66-100% of time.
- Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65% of time.
- Standing/Walking: Constantly 66-100% of time.
- Pushing/Pulling: Frequently 31-65% of time.
- Intensity of Work: Frequently 31-65% of time.
