Peer Specialist

Eliot's Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) program is seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental illnesses to achieve their life goals.

• Empowerment and Support: Assist individuals in exercising autonomy in all aspects of their life, and help them identify choices and develop skills in self-advocacy.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the individual's perspective is always included, and their preferences are recognized and maximized.
• Training and Consultation: Provide training and consultation to staff to facilitate the understanding of individual perspectives as needed.
• Recovery and Empowerment: Provide guidance to individuals in the recovery process, and offer advocacy, support, and education during intake and transition processes.
• Person-Centered Planning: Assist individuals in identifying personal methods of recovery from mental illness, and develop self-management plans to address their experiences.
• Hope and Empowerment: Promote hope and empowerment through meetings and support with individuals, and collaborate with the team to ensure that the individual's perspective is always included.
• Treatment Planning: Participate in the development of Treatment Plans, and assist individuals and the team in developing person-centered plans.
• Cultural Competence: Ensure that services are culturally competent, strengths-based, recovery-based, focused on rehabilitation, and inclusive of individual preferences.

Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm
