Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop care plans in accordance with hospital and nursing philosophy, policies, and standards.
- Implement and evaluate medical and nursing regimens to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Level Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Current and unobstructed New York State Registered Nurse (NY Hospitals) or Connecticut Registered Nurse License (CT Hospitals).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required for specific units.
- Other certifications may be required based on unit and location.
This role requires manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. The working environment is occupational with significant risk, and the physical effort is very heavy, requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds of force.
