About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a mobile radiologic technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, and residential homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to patient locations to perform portable x-rays and EKG exams
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing diagnostic imaging exams
  • Collect and verify patient information and order documentation prior to procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams
  • Operate portable radiologic equipment at patient locations
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient characteristics and exam requirements
  • Ensure safe work practices, including radiation safety and ALARA principles
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians
  • Process and review images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission
  • Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner
  • Complete forms and maintain records, visit logs, and reports according to standard protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving of equipment and systems
  • Take care of company vehicles and ensure they are well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Operate and behave in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations related to portable imaging procedures
  • Perform training and orientation of other employees as requested by management
  • Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading radiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions
  • Act professionally and exhibit courtesy, friendliness, and a positive attitude when interacting with coworkers, patients, patient families, client staff, physicians, and others
Requirements
  • Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or state x-ray license
  • Hold a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record
  • Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
