Job Summary:

The Maintenance Worker position is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance and minor repairs to Trustco Bank's buildings and equipment. This role requires a high level of physical activity and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on building interiors and exteriors, including repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Maintain a schedule of maintenance activities and ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Work safely and recognize potential hazards, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Perform occasional landscaping and transfer equipment and furniture between buildings as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
  • Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in groups.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid and clean driver's license required.

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Worker will work in a variety of environments, including office buildings, parking garages, and outdoor areas. The position requires frequent travel to locations throughout the northeastern branch network, with a company vehicle provided.

Language Skills:

The Maintenance Worker must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace, with bilingual skills a plus.

Physical Demands:

The Maintenance Worker must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb, with frequent lifting or moving of items over 25 pounds.
