We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Exotics Department Head to join our team at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our Exotics Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Exotics Department team, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, aligning with the hospital's overall strategy and vision.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless integration and coordination of services across the hospital.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and optimal patient care outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the department.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or residency-trained Exotics Veterinarian with a strong background in leadership and management.
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role, with a focus on patient care, team development, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
