Cryptanalytic Career Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cryptanalytic Computer Scientist II to join our team at Chiron Technology Services, Inc. in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cryptographic systems and protocols, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses through advanced techniques. They will utilize programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, and Java to develop and test cryptographic solutions, design, develop, and implement new cryptographic algorithms and protocols, and continuously refine and enhance cryptographic methods to address evolving security needs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cryptanalytic assessments on cryptographic systems and protocols
  • Apply advanced techniques to analyze and break cryptographic algorithms
  • Utilize programming skills to develop and test cryptographic solutions
  • Design, develop, and implement new cryptographic algorithms and protocols
  • Continuously refine and enhance cryptographic methods
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or Doctoral degree and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Affiliate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics (including Applied Math); or a related field with at least one programming and at least four upper-level math classes (Calculus and above)
