Pharmacist Specialist

At Nuvance Health, we're seeking a skilled Pharmacist Specialist to join our team. This part-time role offers an estimated salary of $57.22 to $106.26 per hour for 22.5 hours a week.

The ideal candidate will have a PharmD degree and a valid NYS Pharmacist license. The successful applicant will work closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure safe and proper medication use in a hospital setting.

• Job Responsibilities:
• Verify physician orders and screen for potential interactions, incompatibilities, etc.
• Maintain medication records or drug profiles for inpatients or employees.
• Supervise and ensure accuracy of technicians' work.
• Assure accuracy of all controlled substance records according to hospital policies and regulations.
• Assist with development and implementation of programs and monitoring of quality of care.
• Provide drug information upon request for medical and nursing staff.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of supplies, prescriptions filled, and drugs dispensed.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement programs.
