Position Overview
We are collaborating with a leading consumer goods organization seeking a skilled Accountant to support their financial operations.

Role Responsibilities
The Accountant will be integral in the month-end closing process and will assist the Director of Finance with various financial tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily financial activities such as vendor payments and reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the preparation of month-end journal entries in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as handling prepaids, accruals, and depreciation.
  • Completing and reviewing monthly account reconciliations, including variance analysis.
  • Preparing ad-hoc financial analyses as requested by the Director of Finance or CFO.
  • Supporting the long-range planning and annual budgeting process within the FP&A team.
  • Ensuring the integrity of financial data while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the CPG or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and analytical capabilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience with ERP systems or accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification is preferred.
