Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Bellingham, WA

Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) seeking a rewarding career with flexibility and autonomy? TeamHealth is currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate NP or PA to work part-time (2 days a week) in a skilled nursing facility in the Bellingham, Washington, area.
Key Responsibilities- Perform primary care in a post-acute setting for short-term and long-term patients
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement a plan of care
- Order and interpret lab results
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other healthcare practitioners
- Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related conditions
- Build relationships with patients, patients' family members, and facility staff to facilitate effective treatment delivery
- Promote healthy lifestyle changes
- 6+ months experience in primary care required
- Post-acute care experience a plus, but not required
- Active and unrestricted Washington NP or PA license required
- Active and unrestricted Washington DEA with prescriptive authority required
- Flexible weekday schedule with weekday call requirements only on days working
