Position Summary

The Intermediate Systems Support Specialist is a full-time role that involves providing direct, hands-on assistance in various corporate environments and healthcare settings. This position includes responsibilities for after-hours on-call support as part of a rotating schedule. The nature of customer support inquiries can vary significantly, encompassing both straightforward and intricate issues related to software and hardware.

Key Responsibilities

The Intermediate Systems Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for internal technical issues and requests. They offer direct support through various channels, including phone, email, chat, remote access, and face-to-face interactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Gathering diagnostic information
  • Implementing logical troubleshooting methods
  • Documenting issues and resolutions
  • Resolving customer inquiries when possible
  • Following established escalation procedures for unresolved issues
Required Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background and the ability to independently research reliable information sources. Essential knowledge areas include:

  • Microsoft technologies and Active Directory
  • Domain infrastructures and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching)
  • Software installation and basic PC hardware
  • Server and desktop operating systems
Educational Background

A minimum of a 2-year associate degree focused on Information Technology Fundamentals is required. Relevant work experience and/or certifications from Microsoft, FortiGate, and Cisco may be considered as equivalent qualifications.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in an IT support role or as a technical support representative.
