Research and Test Reactor Quality Control NDT Specialist

BWXT is seeking a highly skilled Research and Test Reactor Quality Control NDT Specialist to join our team in Lynchburg, VA. As a key member of our Quality Control team, you will be responsible for providing NDT support to our Research and Test Reactors.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and execute NDT inspection techniques and methods for verifying product attributes.
- Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, and interpret results.
- Develop and provide technical input for proposals and development activities.
- Provide on-the-job training to NDT trainees and inspectors.
- Oversee the qualification of new and updated NDT equipment and troubleshoot existing inspection equipment.
- Develop and revise procedures to ensure conformance to contract requirements.
- Support customer audits and inspections.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 5 years of experience.
- NDT Level III Certification in Radiographic Testing and Ultrasonic Testing.
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and contractual documents controlling NDT techniques.
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOE security clearance.
