We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Altec Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and installing vehicle components to meet the required specifications.
Responsibilities- Utilize basic hand tools, such as tape measures, drills, wrenches, and ratchets, to perform tasks efficiently.
- Properly use and maintain Altec-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Install aerial device vehicle components and accessories, adhering to production drawings and work orders.
- Read and comprehend production drawings, work orders, and customer requirements to ensure accurate assembly.
- Learn and operate all equipment within the work area, including cells, to optimize production efficiency.
- Support Altec's Production System (APS) initiatives by participating in training events and cross-training with other teams.
- Collaborate with production teams to provide training and support, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Adhere to established safety, environmental, and quality policies to maintain a high level of quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, shop tools, and equipment to ensure efficient production.
- Perform other job duties as assigned, including testing installed components and performing rework as required.
- Adhere to Altec's attendance policy to ensure a reliable and consistent work schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Basic computer usage knowledge.
- Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and schematics.
