Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Medical Surgical department at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, supervising and teaching other personnel, and assisting with the overall operation of the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Supervises, teaches, and delegates to other personnel in the performance of activities related to nursing care.
- Assists the Unit Director with overall operation of unit during assigned shift.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a current Registered Nurse licensure with a multistate compact status.
- Two or more years of recent RN experience preferred.
- One year of hospital staff nurse experience required.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS certification, Current American Heart Association ACLS certification, Current American Heart Association PALS certification, and successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
