Key ResponsibilitiesThe Radiology Technologist will:
- Conduct Diagnostic Radiographic procedures, including Cat Scans, Mammography, Bone Density tests, Ultrasounds, and Special Procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring their imaging needs are met effectively.
- Engage in Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities.
- Assist in the management of the Performance Improvement Program.
- Oversee the radiology department and staff in the absence of management.
- Maintain inventory of department supplies.
- Foster a collaborative environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle scheduling for designated sub-departments and ensure the upkeep of supplies and equipment.
- Be responsible for the processing and transmission of images to the PACS system.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Valid licensure and fluoroscopy permit as mandated by state regulations.
- As of July 1, 2017, possession of appropriate national certifications in two modalities is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations is essential.
- Preferred: One year of experience in Acute Clinical Radiography.
- Graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- Proficient computer skills are necessary.
