Job Title: Coordinator, Donor Eligibility

About the Role:

Eversight is seeking a highly skilled Coordinator, Donor Eligibility to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in determining donor corneal tissue suitability based on Eversight and EBAA Medical Standards and in full compliance with FDA regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Review donor medical history to determine if ocular tissue is eligible for surgical transplantation.
  • Utilize proficient understanding of medical terminology to review patient medical records, lab results, and diagnoses in detail to make critical decisions.
  • Perform accurate and efficient data entry of patient medical and social history.
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uphold strict HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and adapt to industry changes through continuing education, workshops, and other professional educational publications.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Mission and Values of Eversight.

Requirements:

Experience: Experience in the medical field is preferred. Experience with medical chart review and management is required.

Education: Undergraduate studies in a science field are preferred.

Skills: Detail-oriented, effective communication, professional interaction, high-level multitasking, highly self-motivated and disciplined, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Knowledge: Comprehension of medical terminology, proficiency in MS Office and Adobe, proficient with technology, and a valid driver's license.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The work environment is primarily remote with occasional required in-office work days. Routine limited noise, room temperature fluctuations, and dust are possible. Audio, visual, and verbal functions are vital aspects of this position. Routine use of a provided computer, personal phone, and reliable personal at-home internet is required. Use of a personal vehicle is required when traveling within the service area.
