Position Overview
The Analytical Laboratory Team Leader will oversee the operations of our analytical lab, ensuring that key objectives are consistently achieved. This role is crucial in maintaining regulatory compliance, meeting production timelines, fostering positive employee relations, and addressing customer service needs while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a single shift within a multi-shift laboratory environment.
- Promote and exemplify behaviors that guarantee the delivery of high-quality products while ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Make informed decisions that impact product quality and laboratory operations.
- Oversee financial management, including budget tracking and improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement plans to enhance employee training and laboratory capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and support individual development plans.
- Supervise laboratory personnel, including staffing and performance evaluations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Ensure that laboratory test results meet all necessary guidelines and protocols.
Shift Details
This role operates during the second shift.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading laboratory operations within a high-volume manufacturing context.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of process control and financial principles.
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or extensive experience in a regulated laboratory setting.
- Background in infant formula manufacturing or similar industries.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
