Job Title: Travel Nurse RN

Mount Sinai Health System - 1111 Amsterdam Ave is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our 6W Medicine Unit at Mount Sinai St. Luke's. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for delivering patient care based on nursing theory and research, incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care by incorporating the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
  • Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate allocation of material resources effectively.
Requirements:
  • NYS RN License
  • BLS
  • 2 years of Medical Unit experience
  • Min 2 years RN experience
  • 1 year travel experience for Travel positions, not required for Per Diem positions
  • EPIC experience highly preferred
Schedule Information:
  • 3x12 Schedule with weekends required
Unit Specific Information:
  • Avg Unit Census = 22
  • 29 Beds in Unit
  • Staffing Guidelines: 1:6
Additional Details:
  • Performs charge nurse duties as assigned.
  • Coordinates with Clinical Coordinator/Clinical Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Nursing Shift Manager to ensure supplies are appropriately utilized and inventory is sufficient for patient care.
  • Documents in an accurate and thorough manner in compliance with hospital, regulatory and legal requirements and standards of care.
  • Facilitates patient throughput on shift basis.
