Job Overview

Spectrum Comm Inc. is seeking a skilled Aircraft Parts Expediter to support the Fleet Readiness Center, East at Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving aircraft parts, components, calibrated tooling, non-aeronautical parts, supplies, and materials among facilities, shops, and stations.

The successful candidate will be required to perform services continuously during normal work hours, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness of pick-ups and deliveries of aircraft parts, components, and materials. Essential equipment used in this role include forklifts, electric and diesel, diesel mid-tractor tow vehicles, electric carts, and trailers.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the assigned equipment and perform pre/post-operation safety and functional checks. This position may require occasional weekend shifts and is covered under a collective bargaining agreement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Operate various equipment, including forklifts and trailers
  • Perform pre/post-operation safety and functional checks
  • Meet production schedules and deadlines
  • Work in all types of weather conditions

Requirements

  • Lifting up to 45 lbs. without assistance
  • Vision of at least 20/40 in each eye, with or without corrective lenses
  • Vision requirements include color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Work in dusty and noisy environments, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Operate a handheld VHF radio
  • Maintain a valid State Driver's License
  • Flightline Drivers Qualification
  • Aircraft Tow Qualification
