Role Summary: Oversees, coordinates, and assesses the performance of kitchen staff, food production, and service associates.

We are looking for current and recent graduates from Culinary Arts programs to join Levy Restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and engages with cooks and other team members involved in food preparation, cooking, and service, ensuring adherence to all food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards.
  • Efficiently prepares high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes to meet production, delivery, and service timelines. Serves meals or prepares them for delivery.
  • Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
  • Monitors food usage, waste, and consumption to requisition or purchase products as needed.
  • Receives and inspects products and supplies for quality and quantity to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils. Thoroughly cleans the workstation before leaving the area. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during service to ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, production, and merchandising standards.
  • Assists in selecting and developing recipes and menus.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Other internship focuses will include: A rotational internship designed to cross-train in various back-of-house areas, such as:
  • Catering: Large event bulk food production
  • Purchasing: Warehouse food rotation
  • Premium: Chef table development and execution
  • Financial: Product cost month-end inventory, budget management, data, and analytics
