Position Overview

Fairview Health Services is seeking a committed Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Outpatient / Short Stay department. This role is essential in supporting our expanding healthcare services.

The position involves working 60 hours biweekly (0.75 FTE) during the Night shift, with eligibility for benefits. The RN will engage in 12-hour shifts and is expected to work every third weekend.

  • 16 Bed Capacity
  • Care for outpatients in a bed, observation, and other short stay patients
  • A collaborative approach to patient care
  • A care delivery team comprising Board Certified/Eligible physicians, RNs, Health Unit Coordinators, and Nursing Assistants

Key Responsibilities

The RN plays a pivotal role as the leader of the collaborative team, responsible for achieving patient and unit outcomes by coordinating care for a designated group of patients. This includes:

  • Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
  • Identification of outcomes based on the assessment
  • Establishment of a tailored plan of care
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting the care plan as necessary

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Minnesota RN License
  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Acute Care settings
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
