Job OverviewAs a Geotechnical Engineer with Thomas Talent Network, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive solutions to the Solid Waste industry. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing projects, supporting your team, and delivering high-quality services in the solid waste engineering field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stability, Settlement, and Seepage Analysis: Conduct complex analyses related to solid waste disposal facilities.
  • Civil Engineering Design: Design surface water systems, leachate collection and pumping systems, and grading for solid waste disposal facilities.
Field and Laboratory Investigation Skills:
  • Coordination: Establish and coordinate field and lab investigations to characterize solid waste facilities.
Project Management:
  • Task Management: Manage various project tasks and ensure timely project completion.
  • Client Interaction: Respond to client needs and questions and prepare proposals.
Technical Reporting:
  • Report Preparation: Oversee and prepare detailed technical reports.
Communication Skills:
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly with clients, regulatory agencies, colleagues, and managers.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
  • Integration of Disciplines: Work on projects that integrate various disciplines within civil engineering.
Professional Development:
  • Continuous Learning: Invest in personal and professional growth and learn from senior staff.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Geotechnical engineering; Masters degree is highly preferred
  • At least 2-10 years of relevant experience with geotechnical projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MS Word and Excel
  • EIT or P.E. registration
  • Solid written and oral communication skills to include proposal writing and reporting
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and willingness to take on diverse challenges
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel out of town
