ER Registrar

Job Summary:

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled ER Registrar to join our team. As an ER Registrar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain all necessary authorizations through physician office communication, online tools, faxing, and calling insurance companies.
• Perform data entry and operate in multiple systems to manage patient information.
• Answer incoming calls from insurance companies and collect payments over the phone.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with the imaging registration team to ensure seamless patient flow.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding.
