As a Medical Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include performing clinical, technical, and administrative duties as directed by the physician and within the scope of your training and certification.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examination and treatment, obtaining and recording vital signs, pain screening, and allergies.
- Assist physicians with examinations, tests, procedures, and office-based surgery, applying splints, casts, dressings, and removing sutures with competency.
- Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the physician, including p.o., vaginal, and rectal suppositories, intradermal injection, and intramuscular injection.
- Document data and care in the patient medical record, maintaining confidentiality.
- Complete medical insurance and other related forms for physician review, communicating with patients, referral sources, and payors as needed.
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
- No experience required.
- Job-related certification from one of the following: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT), RMA (ARMA), NRCMA (NAHP), or RMA (AAMP).
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
