Position Overview:
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Interventional Radiology Technician to join our Bellevue team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing medically directed radiographic and interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and align with the hospital's mission and the objectives of the Cardiac Cath / EP / Radiology Department.
- Report any malfunctioning, damaged, or missing equipment to the appropriate medical staff and vendors.
- Prepare and prime the contrast injector for use.
- Manage imaging data within the PACS system, including sending, retrieving, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain inventory of radiology supplies by anticipating needs and placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to established processes and regulations.
- Be knowledgeable about policies regarding radiation safety and report any issues to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
- Implement gonad shielding for patients whenever feasible and utilize lead markers for imaging.
- Apply appropriate patient positioning and immobilization techniques to achieve optimal imaging results.
- Demonstrate understanding of radiation safety protocols and the ALARA principle in all diagnostic exams.
- Maintain compliance logs for daily QA and QC phantom calibrations.
- Keep current with all required certifications and continuing education as mandated by regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and sanitize the examination area before and after patient interactions.
- Exhibit proper scrub techniques and follow department protocols for patient procedures.
- Assess patient information effectively and respond to medical emergencies appropriately.
- Uphold the organization’s service standards in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Certificate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Valid New York State license or temporary permit for Diagnostic Radiology practice.
- 1-2 years of experience as a radiology technician in a healthcare setting.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certification in Contrast Injection
- Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $82,000 to $90,853.42 annually, depending on various factors such as experience, specialty, education, and institutional needs. This range does not include bonuses, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
