About the Role

BCC Engineering, a leading engineering services firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of inspectors to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor on-site construction activities, perform field sampling and testing, and inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily operations and significant events.
  • Reporting: Prepare inspection reports and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in highway/bridge construction inspection, with at least 3 years of experience as a construction project manager.
  • Certifications: Valid TxDOT pre-certification in work category for Construction Superintendent, and certifications such as TxDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Specialist Certification, ACI certification, and Materials Analyst Specialist Certification.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
