Job Title: Licensed Optician

Job Summary:

LensCrafters is seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team. As a Licensed Optician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert optical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, utilizing technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize technology efficiently, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail despite time pressure and customer volume.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively, achieving exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices and a commitment to employee well-being.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise and awareness of fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
