Job Title: Registered Nurse Part-Time Ambulatory Surgery

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Ambulatory Surgery. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care according to nursing and medical plan of care and within scope of practice, using population-specific guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers care for patients in all surgical specialties, anesthetic types, wound management, and medication administration.
  • Involves patient and family/significant others in plan of care.
  • Responds to complications related to surgery and anesthesia.
  • Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team to provide teaching related to anesthesia, such as complications and after-care.
  • Adheres to established protocols related to patient care, patient safety goals, and medication administration.
  • Documents care provided per established guidelines.
  • Identifies opportunities for practice changes based on evidence-based nursing literature and research.
Requirements:
  • Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) Certification from the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC) within 18 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred: 1 year of nursing experience.
