Job Description

The Environmental Health and Safety Professional will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our associates. This individual will develop and implement site safety, health, and environmental programs to comply with Federal and State regulations. They will also track and report EHS performance metrics to BU Operations leaders and engage site-level leadership teams on EHS matters to promote a strong culture of associate safety and environmental management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee all site safety, health, and environmental programs
  2. Track and report EHS performance metrics to BU Operations leaders
  3. Engage site-level leadership teams on EHS matters to promote a strong culture of associate safety and environmental management
  4. Conduct root cause investigations into accidents and work-related injuries or illnesses
  5. Act as liaison to associates needing ergonomic evaluations
  6. Coordinate all EHS Training Programs
  7. Maintain the site chemical inventory and oversee the SDS management system

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a research or manufacturing environment with safety and environmental responsibilities
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred
