Job Title: Field Technician (Burial Vault Installer)

Wilbert Funeral Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for delivering and installing concrete burial vaults to ensure a respectful and flawless burial experience for families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare concrete burial vaults according to orders
  • Load, transport, and unload burial vaults using company vehicles
  • Install vaults into graves
  • Closing and lowering vaults after the service may involve assisting the gravedigger in shoveling dirt to close the grave
  • Assemble and disassemble graveside tents
  • Prepare graveside services by arranging folding chairs, chair covers, and artificial grass
  • Maintain daily reports, including pre-trip and post-trip logs
  • Follow a maintenance schedule for the vehicle and equipment
  • Keep the delivery truck, warehouse, and shop clean and organized
  • Perform all work functions in a timely, correct, and safe manner
  • Provide a safe, clean, respectful, and dignified burial presentation for the family and guests at the gravesite
  • Communicate any service-related exceptions or issues to the plant manager immediately
Requirements:
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with limited infractions
  • Preferred knowledge of backhoe operation, but the willingness to learn is considered
  • Ability to obtain a medical card
  • Self-motivation and self-monitoring with minimal supervision
  • Maintaining a clean and respectful personal appearance, including wearing a clean uniform when required
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background/MVR check
  • Detail-oriented with full body movement and the ability to use all senses
  • Capability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs
  • Physical requirements include lifting, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, kneeling, and squatting for short periods
  • Strong team player with a customer service-oriented mindset
