Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse delivers age-appropriate care to patients based on their individual physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs. The Registered Nurse may rotate to different areas beyond their assigned service area and will perform only those duties for which they have demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse carries out delegated responsibilities consistent with their scope of practice and operates within the philosophy and overall care delivery plan at North Suburban Medical Center. The RN provides care for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patient populations.

Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or a current active multistate Registered Nurse license. Current AHA or ARC BLS Certification and current AHA or ARC ACLS required.

B. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

C. Experience: 1 to 2 years of acute care/specialty nursing experience preferred.

D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates strong organizational skills. Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at North Suburban Medical Center. Exhibits sound judgment and problem-solving abilities. Communicates effectively and professionally with all internal and external stakeholders.
