Waste Connections is seeking a Roll Off Driver to enhance our dedicated workforce.

  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Flexibility to adapt to various routes as needed.

    • Optimize route sequences for maximum efficiency.

    • Safely operate a refuse collection vehicle on designated paths to gather solid waste. Previous waste management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

    • Accurately interpret route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.

    • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

    • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, often without assistance.

    • Utilize hydraulic controls to lift and load refuse, disposing of waste at specified facilities.

    • Engage courteously with customers and perform additional job-related tasks as required.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Involves extensive physical activity; requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects exceeding 50 pounds.

    • Work environment may expose employees to physical risks, necessitating adherence to basic safety protocols.

    • Employees may encounter outdoor weather conditions, including frequent humidity and exposure to fumes and vibrations. Noise levels are typically moderate.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • A valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.

    • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is essential.

    • Basic understanding of truck components to perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

    • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays. Expected hours are approximately 50-55 per week, with paid overtime.

    • A minimum of 2 years of frontload driving experience is preferred.
