Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics, you will be responsible for teaching courses in mathematics to students at various levels.

• Teach mathematics courses, including introductory and advanced classes, using a variety of instructional methods and technologies.
• Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
• Stay current with developments in mathematics education and incorporate best practices into teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.

• Masters degree in mathematics or a related field with 18 graduate hours in pure mathematics or statistics.
• Experience teaching mathematics courses at the secondary or post-secondary level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.

• Teaching experience in a community college or university setting.
• Experience using a variety of active and collaborative learning strategies.
• Ability to implement innovative assessments to measure student learning.
