We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at TriSearch. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading substation engineering projects for customers across North America.
Key Responsibilities- Develop conceptual designs and execution plans for substations and power distribution systems
- Provide engineering/project cost estimates and schedules
- Design and develop SLDs, TLDs, physical substation designs, and associated bills of material
- Design and develop protection and control systems, including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring, and relay panel wiring
- Perform calculations for studies and reports, including grounding, lighting protection, AC/DC load studies, and equipment specifications for procurement and factory acceptance testing
- Perform quality reviews for engineering work and provide short-term field support and consulting during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup
- Relay settings and industry/professional technical committee involvement
- Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred
- Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE/ANSI Standard
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
