Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide in-home occupational therapy services to our patients. As a vital member of our team at Choice Matters Home Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled COTA to work with our patients in the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to administer occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by a licensed Occupational Therapist, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Home Visits: Administer occupational therapy interventions to patients in their homes, ensuring a safe and effective treatment environment.
  • Teach ADL Techniques: Assist patients in performing activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, by teaching techniques to improve their functional capabilities.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Maintain detailed records of patient progress, adjusting therapeutic interventions as needed to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists, healthcare teams, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Higher: Hold an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • COTA License: Possess a current COTA license in Florida.
  • Experience Preferred: Minimum of one year experience in home health, long-term care, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to perform home visits.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $63,000-$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
