Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for Financial Services

State Street Bank and Trust Company is seeking a skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their team in Boston, MA.

As a key member of the financial services team, you will be responsible for developing new tests and supporting existing regression tests on keyword-based UFT framework. You must have hands-on experience writing VB Script code and not simply running tests. In addition to UFT scripts, you should have hands-on experience writing code for Java/Selenium projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with developers and analysts. They will coordinate with development and manual QA teams, write test cases, build automated testing tools and scripts, work with a remote QA team, support the QA environment, and execute various levels of testing of products.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field, plus 7 years of software testing experience; or a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field, plus 5 years of software testing experience
  • 3 years of UFT programming experience, 5 years of strong SQL experience in Oracle and MySQL, and 5 years of Java/Selenium programming experience
  • Proven hands-on experience writing VB Script code and coding Java/Selenium projects, demonstrated experience with keyword/data-driven automation frameworks, and Web Services testing using SoapUI or an equivalent tool
  • Demonstrated experience with RTC, Jenkins, Industrial Agile Methodology, single-page applications, and UNIX or Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills, solid communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to multitask several responsibilities
