The Cleaning and Maintenance position provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area at the airport.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain buildings and facilities to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent accidents and maintain quality standards.
  • Notify management of any minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems to ensure prompt attention and minimize disruptions.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, and management to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Move furniture and equipment to clean areas to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance.
  • Clean interior partition glass, windows, and mirrors to maintain a clean and clear view.
  • Wash and replace blinds to maintain a clean and well-maintained workspace.
  • Gather and empty trash to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks to maintain a clean and well-maintained outdoor space.
  • Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms to maintain a clean and well-maintained workspace.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the airport.
  • Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment are essential for this position.
  • Must meet all requirements to receive the required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal.
