Internal Medicine Educator Position at Mount Sinai Health System
The Mount Sinai Health System is actively seeking full-time Internal Medicine Physicians to enhance its academic medical practice. This practice serves as a training ground for 160 Internal Medicine residents and students from the Icahn School of Medicine. The collaborative environment pairs residents with two faculty mentors, alongside support from social work and nursing professionals. The patient demographic is notably diverse and presents a range of complex medical conditions. The selected candidates will engage in both patient care and educational sessions.
Successful candidates will collaborate with the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine. The Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. The division embodies the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by integrating patient care, research, and education, viewing these elements as interconnected facets of medical practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Overview:
- Engage in university-level teaching for 160 medical residents.
- Collaborate with colleagues across various specialties within a premier health system.
- Access educational, research, and clinical programs from a nationally recognized medical school.

- Focus on outpatient care exclusively for adult patients.
- Experience minimal evening and weekend obligations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid New York Medical License.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
- Prior experience is preferred.
- Commitment to the mission of Mount Sinai and the communities served.
- Exceptional communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, performance-oriented health system.
Compensation ranges from $200,000 to $230,000, excluding bonuses or additional benefits.

Actual salaries are influenced by various factors, including experience, specialty, historical productivity, and community needs. Therefore, actual compensation may vary within or outside the listed range.
