Purpose: The role of a Custodian at Excel Fitness is essential for ensuring the facility remains clean and welcoming for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of restrooms, locker rooms, shower areas, and waste disposal sites, including sinks, vanities, and mirrors.
  • Conduct inspections and clean all windows, frames, baseboards, wall trims, and handrails to eliminate handprints, scuff marks, and dust.
  • Dust and maintain air vents, televisions, signage, storage or glass doors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Manage waste removal from all areas and ensure proper disposal methods are followed.
  • Vacuum and mop rubber or tile flooring throughout the gym and auxiliary spaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, ensuring products are arranged systematically.
  • Assist in overseeing the inventory of cleaning supplies and provide insights on their usage.
  • Train and guide part-time cleaning staff on their duties and performance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in custodial work is preferred.
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and communication skills are essential.
  • Must be team-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and capable of critical thinking to address challenges.
