Job Title: CDL Class A or B Driver

Kolbe Striping, Inc is a family-owned and operated business with over 40 years of experience in the transportation industry. We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A or B driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced driver to operate our fleet of trucks, including paint trucks, brooms, semi-trucks, grinding trucks, and groovers. As a driver for Kolbe Striping, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including striping roads and highways, and perform light mechanical repairs on vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safety on the job site and follow all safety protocols
  • Verify project details with the project manager, including site locations, materials, and project scope
  • Load and unload materials and equipment
  • Haul materials to job sites
  • Operate equipment and machinery
  • Shovel and sweep asphalt and concrete
  • Lay striping materials on roadways using various techniques
  • Operate large complex CDL vehicles, including removal, epoxy, and paint trucks
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires and installing light bulbs
  • Provide customer service to our customers and ensure follow-through on problems encountered
  • Complete audits of quality control, safety checks, and inventory and billing audits
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of safety rules and ability to abide by them
  • Ability to safely operate Class A and/or B vehicles
  • Knowledge of and exposure to hazardous materials
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid Colorado Flagger Certification
  • Hazmat and tanker endorsements
  • Four years of driving experience driving striping trucks following Class A or B certification
  • Two years of experience operating striping trucks
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and bending, reaching, crawling, climbing, grasping, kneeling, squatting, and twisting
  • Often includes lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 75 pounds
  • Sometimes requires working at elevated heights
