Job Summary

**Job Title:** Medical Technologist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and special diagnostic testing and lab procedures in various specialty sections of the Clinical Laboratory.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, and urinalysis.

• Analyze and interpret test results, and report findings to healthcare providers.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and patient information.

• Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.

• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols as needed.

• Provide training and guidance to new laboratory staff members.

**Requirements:**

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related field.

• 1 year of experience working in a clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist and has met or exceed the regulatory CLIA testing personnel requirements.

• ASCP/ASMT/NCA/HHS/ASPT and other related certification preferred; Board-eligible for MT certification.

• Excellent customer service skills, computer, math, verbal, reasoning and written skills at college level.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

• Dedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.

• Team Player: Works well as a member of a group.

**Work Schedule:** Varies, 11:00p - 7:00a, and every other weekend.
