Job Summary

The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Practitioner to join our Primary Care team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation of care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume a leadership role in the primary care team and provide guidance and support to other team members.
  • Analyze population data to identify high-impact interventions and develop plans to implement care services that meet the unique needs of our patients.
  • Facilitate coordination of care and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and develop plans of care that address their specific needs and health goals.
  • Use decision support tools and evidence-based guidelines to inform clinical decisions and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in peer review activities and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Tribal, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as Tribal policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
  • Three years of experience in primary care with a focus on cross-cultural healthcare.
  • Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants/Advance Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Current Alaska licensure and DEA certificate.
  • BLS certification.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. The successful candidate must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and use hands/fingers to handle or feel objects.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience working with diverse cultural populations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
