Job Title: Port Captain

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Port Captain to join our team at TopView Sightseeing. As a Port Captain, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vessels in New York Harbor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate vessels in all sea and weather conditions, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
  • Conduct pre-cruise checks and meetings to ensure all necessary information is communicated to the crew.
  • Create and implement training manuals and SOPs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Coast Guard rules and regulations, as well as other federal and local rules and regulations.
  • Manage crew scheduling and payroll.
Requirements:
  • 100-ton USCG masters license.
  • At least 10 years of US Coast Guard experience, with 2-5 years of experience operating passenger vessels in NY Harbor.
  • First aid and CPR certification.
  • TWIC and MROP permits.
