Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Investment Manager to join our team in San Francisco. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating startups and investment opportunities in relevant technology sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends and new market opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a network of founders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and ecosystem partners to source high-quality deal flow.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including market research, financial analysis, and competitive landscape assessments.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and present findings to the global Bosch Ventures team.
  • Manage and monitor portfolio investments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred)
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience. Ideal candidates would have prior experience working in venture capital, at a startup, or in a technical role.
  • Experience assessing early-stage technologies and teams
  • Experience networking with startups and co-investors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior venture capital experience (1 - 2 years)
  • Master's degree in engineering, finance, or a related field or MBA
  • Personal network in the SF Bay area
  • Thrives in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment with incomplete data
  • Proficiency comprehending a technology and understanding the technical and commercial challenges in a development process, in at least one of the Bosch Ventures search fields
  • Valuation and transaction experience, ideally in a start-up environment
  • Proficiency to grasp a business model and understand the challenges in building the business
  • Networking skills (entrepreneurs, investors, research institutes, corporations, and academia)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
