Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identification and obtain patient history to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality images, manipulate images according to protocols, and perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data.
  • Administer oral and IV contrast according to protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Transfer images to PACS, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and other relevant systems, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform other duties as required, including maintaining a clean and orderly work environment, precepting new employees and students, and volunteering for challenging tasks and research projects.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
Work Environment
