Job Summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Copperas Cove. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries, as directed by physician or mid-level provider.
  • Collaborate with the core PACT Team (Primary Care Provider, RN, and Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team to develop patient care plans.
  • Actively assist with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
  • Perform annual and routine nursing assessments, preventive health services, and record information in patient electronic medical records.
  • Administer medications, apply compresses, and observe patient reactions.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect lab specimens, and perform waived laboratory tests.
  • Maintain confidentiality of veterans' data and information, comply with VA and company training requirements, and fulfill compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate from an accredited program of practical or vocational nursing.
  • Minimum one-year experience as an LPN/LVN in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting, with government healthcare experience preferred.
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS, as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, strong computer skills, and EMR experience.
