Job Title: Data Entry Clerk

Marathon TS is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support our team. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing and recording data in our electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and distribute paper shipping records, electronic data files, and electronic data uploads.
  • Record information in logs and automated tracking systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Research and identify information systems and finding aids to locate files.
  • Organize, describe, and label record materials as needed.
  • Interfile documents, refile sections, and create new file sections physically and electronically.
  • Retrieve files and process them for delivery to requestors.
  • Maintain files, including removal of duplicates, preparation of substitute closure forms, and redistribution of files.
  • Prepare files for transfer to other units or for retirement to the federal records center.
  • Conduct regular shelf reading and quality control inventories of files.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • 6 months of on-the-job experience using a computer terminal, scanner, and electronic document management tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of filing procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to maintain files, interpret records policy, and apply filing techniques.
  • Ability to type proficiently and work individually, in teams, and interact tactfully with Government staff.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English and understand procedures.
